Finally back in Omsk, Yes!
We touched down around 6am in Omsk on Tuesday May 16th. We were given the choice to see Ethan or rest for the day and of course we chose Ethan.
First, we were taken to our hotel and were pleasantly surprised to see we had the presidential suite. This is a 3 room suite with a white baby grand piano(Dad, the baby grand would look great in our lobby in New Bern)
We were picked up at 9am by our driver and translator and taken straight to the orphange. We were taken to Ethans room he shares with 2 other infants(we would take his roomates home in a heartbeat if we could). Ethan has changed so much since our first visit. He was laughing and smiling. We really could not tell if he recognized us as he treated everyone the same, very giggly.
We visited Ethan again this morning and even took him for a walk. This was his first time outside for any length of time. He did not seem to like being bundled up(it was around 65 degrees). He started to wine but never cried.
The day we have been waiting for is tomorrow, court day. If all goes well we will have Ethan in our Custody on Friday. We will update again soon so stay tuned!

We have been waiting anxiouly and prayerfully for word from you. Thank the good Lord that he gave you a safe and good trip over. Just don't get accustomed to the presidential suite...I'm so glad you have such good accommodations.
Aunt Caron asked me to suggest to you that since Ethan has not been outside very much, it is probably the bright sunlight that is bothering him. She said that after being in the hospital for weeks when the twins were born, it was difficult for her to go outside without sun glasses. Maybe he needs some sun glasses.
We brought Reg home yesterday (Tuesday). He was doing too well for them to keep him in the hospital for rehab. He was very happy to get home and I am glad they did not keep him. He is much happier here. He loves the porch and can sit out there and almost feel as if he is outside. Caron, the girls and I are taking very good care of him so don't you worry. He'll just be even more spoiled!
The pictures of Ethan are so cute. I can hardley wait to hold him. Take a picture of him laughing. Tell him that he has a Mommy Pat who loves him so very much. The minister announced in church Sunday that the Poteats have two joys....One was that Daddy Poteat came thru surgery with flying colors and that grandchild #13 will soon be home. We've been told that Charlie said out loud in church that Reg was doing great but that he was a terrible patient. We've had several people kid Reg about that. Those two really like to kid each other.

Hi Reg and Michelle. I am so excited for you, us and Ethan. I know you are ready for Friday. When I read about you taking Ethan outside all I could think about was how much the sun hurt my eyes after being in the hospital for 6 weeks. Eventhough the lights were bright and the room I was in had a window, when they discharged me from the hospital I was surprised at how bad the sunlight hurt my eyes. You may want to try to keep his eyes shaded if he will not wear sunglasses or if you cannot find any. I would expose him to the sun gradually. (Aunt Caron's already giving advise.) I Love You All (that includes you too Logan and Christian)!!!!!!!
Whoohoo I am very excited!!! I can't wait til yall come home. No parties yet though.. I've been busy, but weekend is coming up! Yeah so today (Wednesday) was a pretty rough day! ugh.. Aunt Sandra told ya. Logan is doing great.. especially when Justin is here.. She had to have Justin lay down with her so she could go to sleep. not me. JUSTIN. haha. Same for Pake. We were watching a movie and logan and pake wanted to lay with justin. not me! how gay. oh well. But yeah I don't think I would like to be bundled up like that, he looks like a marshmellow. Its like hes paralyzed. He will get use to the light. He was just a hermit crab for a year, but Im sure he'll adjust quickly! Well I hope everything goes well friday! Love yall both.. or three.
