Hey Billy Bob, I received your message. We do not know any Russian terms yet but we do have some cheat sheets prepared. We will be leaving for Omsk on February 25th and returning March 4th. Our flying time including layovers is 25 hours.

I hope to see you both before you depart on the 25th, but if I don't, I do hope you have a great trip and wonderful experience in Russia.

The Poteat family is so excited about the coming new addition to our family. We can hardley wait to welcome him (or them-if you decide to bring two)home. We pray that God will be with you every step of the way. I know He has a wonderful little one waiting for his parents to arrive and take him home. We love you much and have lots of love to give our little new Poteat baby.

Love, Mommy Pat

I heard from Reg and Michelle this morning at 8:00 which would be 4:00 PM Moscow time (they are 8 hours ahead of us). Reg said that they had a good trip over but unfortunantly their luggage did not arrive with them in Omsk. It has been located in Moscow and will be delivered to them later. They like the hotel where they are staying and feel very comfortable. They have already met the adoption agency rep and will go to see the baby tomorrow. The temperature is -15C which converts to 5F. Reg said it didn't feel that cold to him. It was snowing and the runway was covered in snow when they landed. I think that caused them a lot of concern. A funny story about Reg (you know there has to be one with him), A drunk was sitting beside him on the plane from Moscow to Omsk and went to sleep on Reg's shoulder. He said the man had a very bad body odor. How do you tell a man in Russian to kindly move over?

They will not be able to post anyting on this site until they get the power converter out of their luggage. Their telephone number at the hotel is 007-3812-316570, Room #402.

To Reg and Michelle - It was so good to hear your voice Reg. I just read your Email you sent before you left. Caron read it also and we both cried. We agreed that you should just go ahead and bring two babies back with you to save you making another trip. You love children so much and are so good with them. They would be two very lucky children to have the two of you as parents. You know we will support you in whatever you decide. We send God's blessings and all our love to both of you. So very much love, Mom

Glad to hear you had a good trip, everything is going very smoothly at the hotel. Had a good night tonight and will have a huge record Feb., above all budget expectations. Keep warm and dry, we are all thinking about you back here in N.C.

I got an email from Michelle this morning and we are to call them tonight so they can talk with Christian and Logan. All is well here at the Poteat house in New Bern. Christian has been great in helping me find things and helping with Logan. Pake and Logan have been getting along great. Like two peas in a pod. Neither one wanted to go to school today, but then again, who does! When I hear from them tonight, I will let you all know how things are going.
Love-
Aunt Sandra

It was great to receive your call and even greater to see the pictures of our baby. I am in love already! Everyone in the office gathered around the computer and we were all oohing (sp?) and ahing (sp?) and crying. Please tell Igor that he has a Mommy Pat and Daddy Reg who love him already very much. I just wish I could've seen Logan's eyes when she first saw his picture.

Do you have seat belks in the car? I sure hope so. You all just take good care of yourselves and remember all the people at home who love you and are there with you in spirit. Much love, Mom

As soon as Logan came home from school, I showed her the pictures of Igor and she is already smitten! She was jumping up and down and can not wait to hold him and give him kisses. She was so excited and can't wait to talk to her mom and dad tonight and she says that she wishes they were all home now.
