Here we are, finally!

Hello All,
Today has been a great day. First things first, Christian and Logan, we have been thinking about the both of you constantly, we miss and love you both dearly.
Today we finally received our luggage and were able to change out of our clothes we had been wearing for three days. The lost luggage and dirty clothes have never really been an issue because we have been so intent on taking care of the matters at hand, preparing to meet our new baby boy.
We have had a great deal of help from our adoption agents and translators, Tatyana and her husband Andre. I cannot forget to mention our driver Vlad, he has been zooming us around the city at death defying high speeds (Kathy you were correct), we cringe everytime we get into the car. Michelle prefers to sit directly behind him so she cannot see what is happening in front of her, I tend to stare at her not wanting to look at the road.
Now for the good stuff.........As I am sure you assumed by the pictures posted, we met the baby boy assigned to us at the Omsk Children's Hospital this morning. His name is Igor and he was born March 29th of 2005. Unfortunately, due to a case of Bronchitis, he is getting medical attention. He was born premature (30 weeks) and is very small for his age of 11 months. His health records show no signs of any health problems.
Our introduction to Igor was around 11:00am this morning. He was carried into a playroom with his brown eyes wide open. Michelle's first response was "awe" and I was speechless. He immediately stared directly at us as if he knew what was happening. Michelle and I looked at each other in amazement. We spent about 20 minutes with him, both holding him as he played with his toys. We went back to the hospital around 4pm this afternoon and spent another 20 minutes with him. We are now back at the hotel emotionally exhausted. Thanks to all the good wishes and we hope to update again soon. Bye.....

Yeah, it was the perfect day!

Luggage and a new, beautiful, perfect son. Our whole family read the blog and we are thrilled for you. This is bringing back all the joy of 3 weeks ago when we were in Omsk.

We think your Igor and our Vera have a lot in common. First, they were both in the hospital with bronchitis, second, they are both 11 months old, and third, they were both wearing the exact same sweater when we met them!!!

Enjoy.

Love, The Wilsons
